Picked up from your Hotel in Windhoek to Waterberg Plateu Park. Waterberg Plateau Park is a national park in central Namibia on the Waterberg Plateau, 68 kilometres south-east of Otjiwarongo. The plateau and the national park are named after the prominent table mountain that rises from the plateau, the Water-berg. This is a nicely preserved and protected park where you can admire group of Rhinoceros and giraffe gathering together at the end of the day. Ask for guided tour. I recommend Wesley that operate at the waterberg wilderness camp for an immersive experience and sunset drinks!

Leaving the paradise of the Kunene River behind, you travel south through woodlands dotted with Himba settlements into the barren, rugged Kaokoveld. Via Opuwo, the Kunene Region’s small capital, and the historic Fort Sesfontein, a relic of German-colonial times and nowadays a stop-over for lunch and re-fueling, your journey takes you into the region’s Damaraland area.
On the Uniab River, just north of the Veterinary Control Fence that spans the entire width of Namibia, lies your accommodation, a green oasis visited frequently by wildlife and the legendary desert elephants. Wash off the dust of Kaokoveld in the sparkling pool and relax around the cozy lodge grounds, before retiring to your comfortable room. It’s been a long and exciting day!

Next on the menu is Namibia’s first World Heritage Site, since 2007: Twyfelfontein, situated in central Damaraland. When driving south from Palm wag early on a clear day, the magnificent views of the Etendeka Mountains from the Grootberg Pass may be worth taking a detour, unless prehistoric rock art and volcanic activities that created prominent geographic features have more appeal to you. At Twyfelfontein, a 45-minute walk with a local guide across a mountain slope takes you to some of the best examples of petroglyphs in Southern Africa, consisting of rock paintings and engravings. Also Interesting are the nearby Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain as well as Petrified Forest which may be visited individually. All of these attractions are situated in close proximity of your accommodation.

The area derives its name from highest mountain in Namibia- Brandberg Mountain that features various routes to the summit & an ancient rock painting. The Brandberg Mountain Range– or just the Brandberg – is situated in the Erongo region in the west of Namibia about 90 km from the Atlantic Ocean and covers an area 760 km². The mountain range has a mean height of 2500 metres and impressively surmounts its surrounding by some 2000 meters.
The name of the 30 km long and 23 km wide Brandberg derives from the glowing colours that the setting sun paints onto the mountain range as if the mountain was on fire. The closest town is Uis, which is about 30 km away and offers several overnight facilities.
