Days 3-4 : Hwange National Park

After an early breakfast, we journey to Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve. Famous for its massive elephant herds, lions, and endangered African wild dogs, Hwange offers pristine wildlife viewing. In the northwest, animals gather at the Mandavu and Masuma dams near concealed lookouts, while the Bumbusi National Monument features 18th- century ruins and pre-colonial rock carvings. In the southeast, we will view game from the elevated platform at Nyamandhlovu Pan.

Days 5-6 : Matopos National Park

Day 7: Masvingo & The Great Zimbabwe Ruins

This morning begins our scenic drive to Masvingo, the home of the Great Zimbabwe National Monument. “Zimbabwe” translates to “big house of stone,” derived from these massive medieval stone walls. The ruins are surrounded by fascinating history and unanswered questions regarding who built them and why they were abandoned. We will enjoy a 2-to-3-hour tour guided by an expert local guide before checking into our lodge.
